One of the thousands of details of nature that we often pass over and almost never observe attentively is the relationship between the wind and the surface of the sea, lakes or ponds. Contemporary artist Riccardo Paci bases his themed gallery Water on observing how the wind manages to “sculpt” the surface of the liquid mass. The Water series features canvases with similar patterns, but also surfaces struck by gusts of wind and small waves upsetting the surface of the liquid. The canvases we can see on this page of the Riccardo Paci virtual gallery are rectangular in shape, twice as long as they are high, two squares side by side.
